The Nationals to upgrade Hopetoun P-12 College
Students at Hopetoun P-12 College will learn in state-of-the-art science and hospitality classrooms under an elected Liberal Nationals Government.
Member for Mildura Peter Crisp announced today in Hopetoun that The Nationals in government will invest $1 million towards the upgrade of the science and hospitality rooms at the College.
“The Liberal Nationals are committed to supporting great education facilities for our kids in Hopetoun and across the Mildura electorate,” Mr Crisp said.
“We’ll make sure our kids can get the most out of their education, funding work to reconfigure the classrooms and buy new equipment to create a better learning environment, as well as power and plumbing upgrades.
“The science laboratory has not changed since the school was built in 1960 and desperately needs upgrading, so this investment will mean Hopetoun kids can get an even better education.
“City-centric Labor has neglected our community, leaving these school buildings in disrepair.
“Only The Nationals in government will deliver a better deal for students and local education.”
Mr Crisp said the investment will give students another reason to complete their schooling at home and help encourage more families to move to our community.
“We want to make sure students at Hopetoun P-12 have every opportunity to pursue their dreams, with these upgrades to help those considering a career in STEM or hospitality,” Mr Crisp said.
“Only a Liberal Nationals Government has a vision to decentralise our state and support growing country communities – better education and services in Regional Victoria is just one way we’ll do this.”
