The Nationals to fund new Robinvale Sporting Club changerooms
An elected Nationals government will upgrade the Robinvale Sporting Club to support growing female participation in local community sports, Member for Mildura Peter Crisp has announced.
Mr Crisp said The Nationals’ $350,000 investment in the Robinvale grounds will see new changerooms built, including dedicated female facilities.
“Community sports unite our county towns, bringing together people from all walks of life,” Mr Crisp said.
“Robinvale is no different, but it needs the right facilities to make sure everyone can get out for a game of football, soccer, rugby or netball.
“The Nationals’ $350,000 investment will allow for dedicated female changerooms that will provide first class facilities for both male and female players.”
Mr Crisp added the Club is strongly supported by the community.
“Quality changerooms for all who want to participate in sport, especially the growing number of girls and women at our local clubs, means this is will be a vital community asset,” Mr Crisp said.
“The benefits of participation in sport are now measured both in health benefits and in community benefits and I am very pleased to make this announcement.
“If we’re elected to government in November, The Nationals will deliver a better deal for our sports clubs and community sports in Robinvale and across the Mildura electorate.”
