Have Your Say On National Parks

In November 2009, areas of River Red Gum habitats in the Mildura electorate were merged into existing National Parks.

Parks Victoria are now calling on the community to provide input into the management plan of these areas going forward

and will be holding a public meeting in Mildura next week.

Areas within the management plan will include environment management, access, visitor facilities, camping areas,

tourism and employment opportunities, fishing access, protecting rare species, hunting, environmental watering,

controlling feral animals and how the boundary between park land and private land is managed.

If you would like to attend the meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 April at the Mildura Homestead.  Two sessions will be

held, the first from 2 – 4pm and the second from 7 – 9pm.

Both individuals and organisations are encouraged to attend.
