Only a Coalition government can deliver the $5 million upgrade to the Mildura Base Hospital.
The Nationals, Member for Mildura, Peter Crisp says the Brumby government’s refusal to fund the hospital’s requested upgrade has left The Nationals as the only party committed to making the investment.
Peter Crisp announced two months ago that a Liberal Nationals Coalition government would fund a $5 million upgrade of the hospital’s Accident and Emergency, mental health and birthing facilities.
“Labor won’t support the hospital and an Independent Member for Mildura can’t commit to anything.
“All an Independent can do is carp from the sidelines. The only hope of an Independent having any power in the Victorian Parliament has been blown away by the decision of both the Nationals and Liberals to preference the Greens last.”
